Well, another New Year is upon us and we look ahead to the magic of an unwritten page. Social media meme says, “another 365 days ahead to write your story, make it a good one.” Despite the fact that we resolve to do better, at whatever, we more often than not set ourselves up for failure by resolving to do too much or by trying to master schedules that no one with a busy life could ever maintain. This time of the year hits us with reflection and resolve and a review of the past 12 months can reveal many things to us, but what do you intend to focus on to bring forward into the New Year? What you did — or what you didn’t do?

One of the objectives of a happy life is to feel contentment in how you’ve lived your life and feeling pride for the things you’ve accomplished. Those who love words may be content with putting pen to page. Those with a passion bring life to the imagination borne of one’s own creative thoughts and ideas. Many go beyond the words-to-paper stage and see for themselves a future of sharing their words.

If it is your goal to be published, it is more than writing a story and getting it printed. There is so much more! Check out our past posts for stages of working with Dream Write Publishing – nothing’s changed – we still focus on the writer and their words to assist them in publishing their stories, whatever they may be.

Our advice for a “write-on” New Year is to focus on what is to come, not on what was – it is in the past. Look to now and the journey ahead, one word at a time.

Keep on writing.
